Long Lasting Black Eyeliner

By: Michelle

Black Pencil eyeliner is an essential to my everyday look. So it is vital to find the pencil that is long lasting and barely smudges. I have used quite a few black pencil eyeliners within the past few years, and out of all, these are the eyeliners that I swear by. This consists of Clio’s Gelpresso Pencil (Gold Black No. 5), Etude House’s Proof 10 Auto Pencil and Nature Republic’s Provence Gel Eyeliner.

These eyeliners are very long lasting – even after 8+ hours of wear. They barely smudge, which is a huge problem that I have with most eyeliners. All of these three eyeliners don’t give me the panda eyes at the end of the day. Additionally, they are very pigmented. I highly recommend these eyeliners to everyone who is looking for a good black eyeliner.

Do you have any eyeliner recommendations? If so, please let me know on the comments!

Much love,
Michelle.

Squeaky Clean

By: Diemmy

A skin care routine is vital in order to keep the face SQUEAKY CLEAN! I have oily combination skin and tend to break out during moments of the month and so, it is very important to ensure my healthy skin is sustained. Additionally, I use make up on a regular basis it is also essential that my skin is cleared before my 'beauty sleep'. So here you have it, the products that I use on a regular basis to maintain my skin:

♥ NATURE REPUBLIC – Aloe Vera Cleansing Gel Cream
This is my day and night cleansing product that I have been using on a daily basis. The Aloe Gel Cream feels very soothing on the face and with the smell of Aloe Vera – you can’t go wrong! My face has been noticeably clearer and smooth with the use of this product and I would definitely repurchase it when I return back to Korea!

♥ ST IVES – Apricot Scrub
I don’t use Apricot Scrub on a daily basis but I tend to use it around 2-3 times a week during showers when I feel as if my face needs deep exfoliating. The product has obvious textured beads and that’s the agent that cleans deep down. The product smells nice, it fights and prevents blemishes, and does its job well! It is definitely worth trying if are looking for a new exfoliating product.

♥ ETUDE HOUSE – Wonder Pore Toner
Toner is needed to further purify your pores after cleansing so it is also an emphasised essential and I have to say… I have been loving Etude House’s Wonder Pore Toner. I feel as if my skin has been less oily the morning after when using this product. The fragrance of the toner is very easy and adaptable as well since it is not too strong. Also, a bonus about the packaging is that it has a pump and so you don’t have to tilt the bottle between uses.

♥ CETAPHIL – Moisturising Lotion
Moisturising is a MUST in every skin care routine. It ensures that the skin is replenished and it takes care of those dry patches. The Cetaphil lotion has been a returning product for me since it is suitable for all types of skin and fragrance free. Another plus about this product is that it is very lightweight so it’s perfect for days where you want to wear make up.

♥ BENZAC AC – Water Based Acne Gel
I have a few blemish spots here and there that comes and go – and to fight them, I use Benzac. This acne gel really does get rid of pimples overnight in a noticeable manner. They don’t necessary disappear in one application but the size of spots definitely reduces dramatically. However, if you do plan on trying this product, make sure to read the instructions or seek prescription advice.
. . . . . . . .

What are some of the products you use for your skin care routine? I have been sticking to these products for as long as I remember – so let me know, I would love to check them out!

Much love and until next time,
Diemmy.

Products I'm Trying Out

By: Michelle

These past two weeks, I have been testing out some new products. I find trying new products can be a lot of fun, especially if there was a lot of positive reviews on them. So, I thought I should share with you these products and my thoughts of them so far.

♥ Clio's Ultra High Sunblock:
I stopped using sunscreen for quite some time, but after watching a video on youtube about sun rays, I realised I should add it back to my routine. Clio's Ultra High Sunblock provides high protection from the sun, containing SPF 50+ PA+++. The packaging is very simple and lightweight. This allows me to carry it in my bag. It also has a very nice smell, but it can get overwhelming at times. Nevertheless, I have been loving this product.

♥ Innisfree's Apple Juicy Deep Cleansing Foam:
I was really excited about opening this product because it smells amazing. And thankfully it didn't disappoint. This cleanser has replaced my everyday morning cleanser. I am loving it! It makes my skin feel soft and ready to go each morning.

♥ Skinfood's Egg White Pore Mask:
This is a a mask which helps eliminates the pores. I'm not too sure if it has immensely helped my pores, but it does makes my skin feel really nice.

♥ Etude House's Goodbye Pore Ever:
After going through my make-up collection, I found this product. Don't you just love finding forgotten products? This is a primer which aims to fill in the pores. I have quite a few pores on my nose so it's a good product for me.

♥ Etude House's I'm Blooming Sebum Control Mist:
I own quite a few unopened face mists, and I thought it was time to open one more bottle. A face mist or make-up fixer is a must for keeping make-up looking fresh and long-lasting. This specific mist fights off sebum, which is the element that creates the oil on our skin.

♥ Nivea's Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes (Normal & Combination Skin):
This was on sale for half price and it was great timing because I needed new cleansing wipes. This is the first time I've used wipes from Nivea. I only use the wipes when I don't have any eye make-up on.

♥ Original Source's Lime Shower Gel:
All I have to say about this is that it smells, hands down, amazing.

. . . . . . . .

That's all of the products I've recently opened. I must say I am enjoying all of them. If you want me to do a full review on any of these products, let me know.

Much love,
Michelle.

NAILED IT!

By: Diemmy

There’s no denying, I love nail polishes and can’t go a day without them. When I don’t have nail polish on my nails, there’s a sense of … emptiness. There’s something about nail polishes – they just add a pop of colour to my life! With the endless shades that I own, I have picked out my all time five favourites.

RIMMEL: 60 Seconds – Bonzai 832
This is my absolute favourite nail polish of time! The colour is just so vibrant and unique. It really adds that extra bit of edge to the outfit since it is super bright and versatile. Another plus to this line from Rimmel is that it dries in 60 seconds and let me tell you, the product does not lie! It actually dries in 60 seconds – because don’t you just hate it when you have to wait for nail polish to dry?

SPORTSGIRL: Nail It – Fanta
I have been collecting Sportgirl’s ‘Nail It’ collection for quite some time and hopefully I can be able to complete my collection… soon enough. And this has got to be my favourite from the collection – a vibrant and energetic, yet bold orange shade. However, Sportgirl nail polishes do tend to take a long time to dry, so it will be sure to test your patience, I know it tests mine!

RIMMEL: 60 Seconds – Coralicious 430
Another shade from the Rimmel 60 Seconds product line, and this time in coral! Some of you may or may not know that I am easily attracted to coral shaded items and so a coral nail polish is a must for me! This is also a very bright and vivid shade in my collection. And another thing I didn’t mention previously is that the 60 seconds Rimmel nail polishes are super long lasting – lasting up to 2 weeks when using a double coat.

INNISFREE: Number 11
This shade really reminds me of the sky or sea – very BLUE indeed! Since I couldn't find a name for it, I'd like to call it Beached Blue! I like to use this shade for when I'm feeling something a little different and fresh! However, I have to say there is a drawback to this product since the brush is very thick, so it is quite difficult to apply the nail polish on the edges of your nail.

VOLT: Goldie
I love to use this shade on my toes. Since it's glittery, it makes the toes really stand out when you're wearing peep toed shoes or even sandals in the summer. Something simple and adaptable! Once again, since the nail polish didn't come with a particular name, I self named it - Goldie

. . . . . . . .

So there you have it! After putting off this post due to having to pick my favourite nail polishes... I finally did it! What are your favourite nail polish colours and brands? Let me know as I would love to check them out... since I am in no doubt, a nail polish addict!

Much love and until next time,
- Diemmy xx

Lip Crayon Collection

By: Michelle

I find that lip crayons are one of the easiest lip products to use on a daily basis. My collection of lip crayons isn't that big. However, I thought I would share with you the lip crayons that I do have in my collection right now.

♥ Face of Australia: Glossy Lip Crayon
Shades: Berry Juice, Apple Crumble, Raspberry Coulis.
Definitely recommend these if you live in Australia. It’s a great product for a very decent price. My favourite shade out of the three would have to be Raspberry Coulis.

♥ Innisfree: Juicy Gloss Pencil
Shades: #4
This gloss pencil is the on the go product for me due to it’s moisturizing formula. Additionally, it has a fruity scent, somewhat similar to an orange.

♥ Revlon: Just Bitten Kissable
Shades: Romanic & Charm
Revlon is well known for their lip crayon lines. This specific line has a minty fragrance, which I quite like. Charm is Diemmy’s favourite from this collection. However I’m actually not that fond of it. I had another shade from this line that I lost, which I absolutely adored.

 . . . . . . .
I love most of these lip crayons and I definitely want to invest in more! What are your favourite lip crayons?

Much love,
Michelle.

Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover

By: Diemmy

We all know that highly common cliché don’t we?

‘Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover’

But as a matter of fact, we are all guilty of doing just that. Even if we put our mindsets to purchase a book without regarding the title, cover, or blurb, we still resort to those factors. If it’s not by the cover, we will look at the top charts or search the title before purchasing a novel. We just can’t help it. Recently I had a realisation that I do this very often when picking out a book. Sometimes I decide to buy a book depending on its price…yes, a bad criteria, I know!

Recently I passed a bookstore and something intriguing caught my eye. Displayed on the bookshelf were books covered in brown paper. No cover, no blurb, no author. However, written on the brown paper were words that described the novel with the tag Blind Date With A BookI thought it would be fun a fun idea for Michelle and I to read a book without any prior information besides the keywords on the cover.  With this in mind, I purchased two copies, one for each of us with the intention that once we are finished reading, we would re-wrap it and exchange the novels.

If you guys are readers and want to defy the overused cliché, be sure to set some spare time and have a ‘Blind date with a Book’! It is definitely worth checking out!

Do you pick a book depending on its cover? Let me know what you think about this trend!

What I’ve Been Reading

By: Michelle

These past few weeks, I had the pleasure of relaxing with a book. I thought I would share with you the novels I read, and give you my intake on them.

. . . . . . . .

Fifty Shades of Grey Series
By EL James
I know what you’re thinking… what?! You can’t blame me though. After watching the movie trailer of Fifty Shades of Grey, I had the sudden urge to read the trilogy again. And so, I did. I read all three books within three days. I have mixed feelings about this series. It’s a love-hate relationship. There are moments where I love the story, and times where I find myself rolling my eyes. Despite this, I am very excited for the movie.

. . . . . . . .

Looking for Alaska
By John Green
Miles Halter leaves his home to attend a boarding school to “seek a Great Perhaps”. As a result, he meets his two best friends, the Colonel and Alaska Young. Miles falls in love with Alaska and… “After. Nothing is ever the same”. What happened in this novel was something that I was not expecting. It’s no fairytale, yet provides us a sense of closure unlike any other.

. . . . . . . .

If You Could See Me Now
By Cecelia Ahern
The story follows Elizabeth, who is known to be serious and nowhere near tender. However, she raises her sister’s son, Luke. One day, Luke has an imaginary friend named Ivan. Elizabeth starts to see Ivan herself, believing he is a real life person. The novel has an interesting plot. It made me question what can be real out there, yet we don’t believe in it. I must say though, I was disappointed in the ending and I felt like the book dragged on during certain parts.

. . . . . . . .

Beautiful Oblivion
By Jamie McGuire
I love reading young adult fiction, and the works of Jamie McGuire is something I quite enjoy. When I found out that she released a spin-off from her Beautiful Disaster series, I quickly made my way to the nearest bookstore and purchased the novel. Cami is an independent bartender who is in a long distance relationship with her boyfriend T.J. She becomes friends with Trenton, yet they start to fall for each other. I admit I didn’t have high expectations for this novel, even though I was quite excited to read it. However, the ending was something I didn’t expect. It will shock you. And for me, the very last line will remain imprinted in my mind.

. . . . . . . .

Have you read any of these books? If yes, let me know what you think of them.

Much love,
Michelle
